The University Senate is the highest professional body of the University responsible for making decisions on teaching, scientific, and professional activities.
The Senate is the highest professional body of the University, and it consists of 52 members: the Rector, 4 Vice-Rectors at the rank of Full Professors, 31 Deans of Faculties, 4 Presidents of the Faculty Group Councils, and 11 Directors of Research Institutes.
While discussing and deciding upon issues of teaching quality assurance, curriculum reform, analysis of the effectiveness of the average length of studies, and allocation of the number of ECTS points, 10 student representatives elected by the Student Parliament of the University participate in the Senate’s work.
Members of the University Senate are elected for a three-year term, with student representatives elected for a two-year term in exceptional cases.
