Connor Powell, a PhD student from Kings College London, is doing parts of his research at the University of Belgrade. How has his experience been, and what are the challenges to facilitate for mobility?
Since early March 2023, Connor has been based at the University of Belgrade, collaborating with Professor Aleksandra Buha Đorđević and Dr Vera Lukić. Their research can contribute to the prevention of diseases such as breast cancer and they hope to use this study to help educate the public about the dangers of bisphenol exposure and encourage consumers to avoid buying high-risk products.
In continuation of Connor’s interview, you can read about people “working behind the scenes” for a successful mobility to take place. At the Staff Week in Belgrade in June, administrative staff from International Relations Offices of the universities, professors and CU Academic Chairs and representatives of the Erasmus + agency colleagues shared their experiences in organizing mobility. The focus of the two-and-a-half-day event was mainly short-term mobility, summer schools and blended intensive programs and what it takes to host successful events within shirt-term mobility framework.
